Our week at E3
Posted by Ben Sawyer on 05-05-25During the week of May 15 the Games for Health Project co-hosted a booth and meetings at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. We met with a number of individuals, and companies all doing fantastic work and we displayed several games for health applications to good response.
Cool things we saw including a surgery game for the Nintendo DS from Atlus Entertainment, Obeez City - a multimedia project aimed at fighting obesity, Kinetix a movement and workout game by Sony for it's EyeToy, new iterations of the EyeToy Play series, and a futuristic look at healthcare developed by I-Imersion.
We were joined in our booth by the overall Serious Games Initiative and Carnegie Melon's Entertainment Technology Center who displayed Hazmat Hotzone - a first responder simulation involving hazardous materials training.
